If you’re like most of us who don’t rely on hiring maids to clean your house, then definitely check out the products listed below as I’ve personally used them and would recommend to my best friends. From living-room floors to kitchen and bathrooms, I’ve got you covered for what you need to keep everything immaculately clean.
iRobot® Braava jet® 240 Mopping Robot
I’ve been using this iRobot for a while now and love it! Because most of the flooring in my house has hard surface (hardwood, laminate or tile), I need a smart floor mopping tool that will do the work itself without taking time from my busy schedule.
In fact, I only run this mopping robot when I sleep at night or head out for work. Because its built-in sensor can accurately detect hard surface floors as opposed to other materials, I don’t have to worry about the Braava jet spraying cleaning liquid onto anything that it’s not intended to clean, i.e., carpet, rugs, walls, furniture.
All I have to do is to fill the built-in liquid compartment with mild cleaning solution that I mix myself (water and distilled vinegar), and pre-spray the floors with the same cleaning solution. But I don’t think you’re absolutely required to spray the floors before Braava jet does the job. I’m just being extra thorough here.
Three other features that I like about this product:
- Once the cleaning job is finished, the disposable mopping pad can be dropped in a trash can with touch of a button, without you ever touching the dirty pad.
- Braava jet senses the starting point of its cleaning job as the edge of a “virtual” wall and it won’t go behind that edge. This means you don’t have to worry about this little guy falling off the stairwell if you put it a few inches away from the edge of the staircase.
- The disposable mopping pads are very inexpensive. It’s less than a dollar each if you buy the 10-pack bundle.
Because the Braava jet is only about 7 inches wide and the cleaning pad is even smaller, you may need to use at least couple pads each time if you’re cleaning the entire floor.
With everything considered, I would definitely give it two thumbs up and I suggest any busy gals like me start using it and saving yourself some precious time. Focus on more important projects instead. “Time is money.” Remember?
Check it out here on Ebay, it’s well worth it!
Most people have heard of iRobot Roomba. This model actually take care of both carpets and hard floors. But if you need to wet mop the latter, you’ll still want the iRobot Braava Jet as iRobot Roomba only sweeps the floor.
If you have Amazon Alexa, it’ll be a cakewalk to run the iRobot Roomba. It does come with a bigger price tag though. If you use the iRobot for at least three years, my opinion is you’d still get your money’s worth. Check it out here and see if this fits what you need!
This is the by far the most powerful and durable hand-held vacuum cleaner I’ve ever used! I lost track of how many cheaper models of hand-held vacuums I’ve gone through in the past 10 years. Because none of these cheaper ones operated on lithium batteries, they have always gradually stopped working after a year or so due to battery problems.
This particular model that I’m highly recommending comes with powerful 20v lithium battery. I’ve been using it for well over a year now and there’s absolutely no issue with it. It sucks dirt and debris like a regular upright vacuum cleaner even though it’s a hand-held version.
As you can see from the demonstration picture, the pivoting nozzle can be folded all the way down to be completely parallel with the base. It takes little space in your closet while charging.
Yes, it is a bit more expensive than an average hand-held vacuum cleaner. But you can expect to use it for years to come! Check it out here!
It is absolutely necessary to give your carpets more love once in a while and do a deeper cleaning, i.e., “carpet shampoo”. And you don’t have to do that by renting a heavy-duty “shared” carpet shampooer from Lowe’s or Home Depot. You can easily buy an inexpensive yet effective machine yourself and use it as often as you’d like!
This Bissell carpet shampooer is exactly what I’ve been using to thoroughly clean my living-rooms’ rugs and carpets. With just one pass, most of the deep-rooted dust would come out and the rugs would look instantly lighter.
For those of you who have carpets with heavy wear and tear, check out this Bissell shampooer here!
If you’re like me who have mile-long baseboards around the house (well, just exaggerating a bit here), you need this handy cleaner so that you don’t break your back while manually cleaning the baseboards yourself.
For less than $20 bucks, invest in this handy baseboard buddy and make your house guests impressed!
Isn’t this cute? A steamy angry mom inside your stained microwave to help you clean it up! Just add water and vinegar inside this gadget, turn the microwave on, and watch the unwanted greasiness and stains soften and dissolve. Try it out for fun and for a cleaner microwave!
No one likes to clean the toilet. So, for $10, you can significantly reduce the frequency of that mundane household chore within a three-month period. If you haven’t, check it out here and see for yourself!
